The music video for Metallica's song "One" debuted on MTV on January 20, 1989

And I almost died that day... literally.

I didn't want to miss this event so I got home from partying and hoped to catch it... but missed it.

And that's not all I missed that night.

A car (driving in reverse) rammed into our house and went through the walls and couch that I was sleeping on, crushed through another wall and sandwiched the fridge into the back part of the house.

It totally ripped through the couch I fell asleep on, which hours before - I awoke and decided to go to bed in my room instead.
