Debt enslavement might just spell it out...
And as conscious as we are about our spending habits, why does being debt free continue to elude us?
Are we in constant service to our current lifestyle? And do we compulsively repeat chaotic habit patterns as a means to an end?
How do we break free from activities that no longer serve us for the better?
There's beauty in asking ourselves questions like these, because this is where change begins.
To go from one behavioral conversion to another takes awareness.
- What triggers us into making decisions based on emotions that breed negative results?
Sometimes we have to ask ourselves these deeper questions to reveal the things that won't work for us anymore.
Just recently I've re-discovered something about myself that I've carried with me since childhood.
And I've used this coping mechanism to provide a sense of stability and comfort during uncertain times.
This anchor that I've used was triggered by the feeling of loss and helplessness. Not to mention feeling betrayed and unnoticed.
I've always expected to finally address these emotions, but never really wanted to confront it... until now.
Through reflection and self-awareness I am able to start the process of letting go and move towards healthier habits and ways of thinking.
Sometimes it takes facing those emotions head-on to really understand and heal.
Now I can take my addiction to harboring anger that I've used in times of need to a resting place and finally break free from my enslavement to it.
In many ways, freeing ourselves from addictions is not much different from the things that put is into debt enslavement.
Knowing what triggers me is key to addressing those emotions whenever they arise.
And discovering healthier reactions aids the process to making better choices that lead to a more enriched life free from debt.
